Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister K Siddaramaiah has called for action against the private school on Friday, where a three-year-old girl was allegedly raped.
The school in Bangalore is likely to be de-recognised for violating Central Board of Secondary Education norms, said the government. According to the Director of Commission for Public Information, the school had permission to conduct Classes I to V in Kannada medium. It was not permitted to hold nursery classes.
Parents and the school management met on Friday but the discussions proved inconclusive. Parents were not satisfied with the arguments put forward by the school authorities.
Police has detained one staff member of the school in connection with the case, two days after the incident allegedly took place.
This is the third incident of child abuse within school premises in the last three months in the IT city.
