7 coolest concept bikes

Date:

What is a crazy motorbike? It is a lump of super exotic materials, given very desirable form by tasteful handcrafting and cutting edge design, further blended with a deliciously powerful internal combustion engine forming perfect visual and mechanical harmony that yields a multitude of desires.

To many, motorcycles are their first love and they are ready to go over the edge to own them. However, for a few bike aficionados, they love to design and create these machines from scratch so that they can be the probable bikes of tomorrow.

Be it big cruisers, fast but affordable bikes or the two-wheelers that make up the style quotient in commuter segments, bikes have always fascinated people. But have you heard about ‘Craziest Motorbikes’? Well now we have these bikes in the market.

NewsMobile brings you a list of coolest concept bikes that will surely give you a crazy ride.

The Crypt

Although this bike takes a strong eye for design, attention to detail, and the skills to make form functional, the fans tag it with an informal title called ‘Ride to Hell’.

Designed by John Farr, the frame of the bike makes up a skeleton along with the fuel tank that looks like a broken rib. Although putting this bike together needed sheer dedication it’s seriously needs a strange mind to create something like that and hats off to the designer for bringing his idea into reality.

Yamaha 01GEN

At the Intermot 2014 motorcycle show in Cologne, Germany, Yamaha unveiled the 01GEN concept. Yamaha say the 01GEN concept is the first in a series of concepts by the company which will represent their ongoing commitment to create products with new values.

The company calls the 01GEN’s angular design “Refined Dynamism.” The top half is supposed to look like a sport bike with sharp lines and an aggressive look. However, the lower half is meant to be utilitarian to suggest the trike’s on- and off-road abilities.

The Vacuita Prototype

The Vacuita Prototype was designed by the Japanese bike maker Yamaha as part of the VMAX range series. With the low stature design, the bike is fitted with a hub-steering design which is bit more for Yamaha. But then again, the tuning fork brand has been willing to push the covering with the VMAX line of series.

The bits and pieces of the Yamaha common parts can be seen on the bike, but the exclusive fitted LED head lamps on the mirror stays and front fairing makes the bike unique and crazy.

Vit Pilen (White Arrow)

At the 2014 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Swedish motorcycle company Husqvarna unveiled the Vit Pilen (White Arrow), created by the industrial design firm Kiska.

The Husqvarna 401 Vit Pilen version of the concept is a proposal for a simply styled, yet high-tech road bike. It features an exposed trellis frame, with just a minimal amount of bodywork. Up front the 401 Vit Pilen has a futuristic LED headlight with a halo ring running around the outside. Powering the motorcycle is a 373 cc, 43 horsepower single cylinder engine, which is the same unit used in the production of KTM Duke 390.

Ferrari Red

Being an inspired engineer with a soft spot for motorcycles would help and that’s the case of Amir Glinik who was inspired by the design of Ferrari sport cars in order to create this amazing Ferrari motorcycle.

Like the state of the art cars from the stables of Ferrari, this bike also features smooth, aerodynamic lines that create the Ferrari look and retain the heart and soul of these amazing machines. Fitted with V4 engine derived from the massive V12 powering the Ferrari Enzo, the bike features drive-by-wire technology as well as all the top notch features you would expect from an Italian engine.

The Uno

The Uno is an electric-powered vehicle that bears a resemblance to a motorised unicycle. Described as either a one-wheeled motorcycle or electric unicycle, the Uno look as though it only has one wheel and surely insane, but the real fact is, it is created by placing two closely spaced uni-axial drive wheels.

The Uno was revealed at the 2008 National Motorcycle Show in Toronto, by designer Ben Gulak who showed off his unique creation and walked off with the Best Engineering Award at the event.

Black Jaguar

Ever wonder what it would look like if you saw a black Jaguar getting your back? Well it could be a reality because it’s a crazy motorcycle design by Massow Concept Cycles.

Though the news of the Jaguar Motorcycle surfaced way back in 2008, it took three years from the first spark of the idea for the Black Jaguar bike until it was finished. Fitted to a massively underperforming air-cooled Harley v-twin, the bike makes the perfect match for a smooth V12, while the huge build body frame hidden underneath the plastic leaper does a good job of eliminating the good handling more often associated with the brand.
