Twinkle Khanna, who shot to fame with her column titled Mrs Funnybones reveals that she had been into writing since childhood. Her book launch saw Dimple Kapadia, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan Karan Johar, Jaya Bachchan, Susanne Roshan and Sonali Bendre in attendance.
Actor-turned-writer Twinkle Khanna, whose column ‘Mrs Funnybones’ has become the talk of the town, says her husband Akshay Kumar is her editor.
Talking to reporters at the launch of her first book “Mrs Funnybones: She’s Just Like You and a Lot Like Me”, Twinkle said she had love for writing since childhood.
“I have been writing for two years now. You all discovered it late… I had this since childhood,” Twinkle said.
The 40-year-old actress’s mother Dimple Kapadia, Kumar and close friends Aamir Khan and Karan Johar were present on the occasion. The other star guests were Jaya Bachchan, Susanne Roshan and Sonali Bendre.
“Akshay’s input is to remove words.. He is my editor,” she said.
Twinkle’s column “Mrs Funnybones” is penned with a tongue-in-cheek manner where she comments on the latest happenings in the society and in general.
Displaying her witty side on the stage, the “Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai” actress said her husband, who is known for good comic timing in movies, gets paid in million for it while when it comes to her she gets peanuts.
“My hubby (husband) does comedy and he gets paid in million. With my comedy, I can’t even buy chocolates. If I will need money, I will anchor an award show,” Twinkle said.
When asked about the latest trend in the industry to turn books into films, she said, “To make films based on books is not new in Bollywood. I don’t want to name any director.”
The actress also said that whenever she names any of her friends in her columns, she makes sure to call up them and inform.

Twinkle’s first book was unveiled on Tuesday evening at a function where filmmaker Karan Johar hosted “Koffee with Karan” rapid fire round with the actress as his special guest.
Replying to Karan’s question of whom she wanted to be Akshay’s next heroine, Twinkle said, “Jayalalithaa. I will make her into a caped crusader.”
In a similar vein, she said Radhe Maa–the self-styled godwoman who is under scanner in a dowry harassment case—should have a reality show.
When asked if she were Ranbir Kapoor, Twinkle said, “I wouldn’t speak because Kat (Katrina) has got my tongue.”
If she were Deepika Padukone, the “Barsaat” actress said she would do everything as it’s “my choice”, a reference to Deepika’s much-talked-about video.
Twinkle said she would make Akshay the Sports Minister if she were Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“I will look for my mommy,” she said when Karan asked her if she were Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.
When Karan asked what she will find in actor Aamir Khan’s phones, Twinkle said, “Pictures of naked aliens.”
Karan was happy to have a chat with Twinkle seven years after she had refused to come on his show “Koffee with Karan”.

Aamir and Twinkle were paired opposite each other in Mela, a 2000 action film directed by Dharmesh Darshan which failed to create magic at the box office. When Karan Johar asked Aamir if Twinkle is a talented actress, the actor said, “I didn’t know that behind her is this sharp and talented woman.”
