Forum for India-Pacific Island Cooperation summit begins in Jaipur today

Aiming to strengthen trade and bilateral relations between India and the Pacific countries, the Forum for India-Pacific Island Cooperation (FIPIC)  will be hosted by Jaipur and will be addressed by PM Narendra Modi.

Jaipur: The second summit of the Forum for India-Pacific Island Cooperation (FIPIC) will begin in Jaipur from Friday.

Heads of state and senior officials of fourteen island countries are participating in the summit.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the summit.

The objective of summit is to strengthen trade and bilateral relations between India and the Pacific countries.

Union Minister of State for External Affairs General (Retired) V K Singh has expressed hope that India will continue to get support of the FIPIC countries in UN and other international platforms.
