Elevators are quite safe, as long as their safety features function properly and passengers remain fully inside. But on Monday, many top executives of an MNC in Gurgaon had a near escape as the elevator malfunctioned after reaching several floors.
The elevator in One Centre Horizon in DLF Phase V, Gurgaon faced a technical snag and it had a free fall after reaching few floors giving a nightmare to the people inside.
“Yes there was an incident, but we cannot say anything on the issue,” officials at the building said.
According to reports, there was a pregnant lady in the lift. On being asked, the officials said: “The lady has been admitted to a hospital.” However, they refused to give further information on the incident.
Meanwhile, police officials said that they can comment only after proper investigation.
