Three persons arrested for abducting couple

Rajasthan police arrested three persons for allegedly abducting a couple and releasing them on a ransom of Rs 50,000 in Vaishali Nagar locality here, an official said today.

Kamal Saini and his wife Savita were abducted in a Safari from Khatipura area yesterday.

The abductors – Bharat Singh, Raghuraj Singh, and Rajendra Singh – had kept the couple in a room, Vaishali Nagar police said.

After the couple was kidnapped, Kamal called his wife’s friend to arrange the ransom amount, they said.

Police immediately got into action and located the spot in Khirni-Phatak area based on the call made by Kamal.

They then rescued the couple late last night, police said.

The trio was arrested and has been booked under section 364A (kidnap for ransom) of IPC, they said.

The accused would be produced in the court in the evening or tomorrow morning, police added.
