Karnataka-Maharashtra clash set for exciting finish

An exciting finish is on the cards after Maharashtra set Karnataka a challenging 293-run target on day three of the Ranji Trophy Group A match here today.

Karnataka were 61 for one in their second innings, needing another 232 runs for victory.

Maharashtra, resuming the day at 70/4, went on to make 260 largely due to the efforts of Rahul Tripathi (78) and Shrikant Mundhe (81). Captain Vinay Kumar was the pick of the Karnataka bowlers, taking four wickets for 71 runs.

Karnataka 1st innings: 180 all out and 61/1 in 15 overs (Mayank Agarwal batting 23, Robin Uthappa batting 25).
