The Jeep US hasn’t revealed much about the much-awaited Compass, Jeep’s Brazilian arm has released some details of the C-SUV and some new images too. The Compass will be first assembled at company’s plant at Goiania in Brazil, hence it will be the leading market where the Compass will go on trade.
As stated, the Compass will be sold across 100 countries but the dimensions will continue the equal worldwide, at 4410 mm in length, 1820 mm in width, 1640 mm in height and 2630 mm of wheelbase.

Initially for Brazil and some other countries, there will be two engine options, a 166 hp 2.0-litre Tigershark flex-fuel-capable petrol unit paired to a 6-speed automatic, and a 170 hp 2.0-litre Multijet II turbo-diesel engine mated to a new 9-speed automatic gearbox.
Originally, the petrol version will be made accessible with front-wheel drive only, in three trims- Sport, Longitude, and Limited, whereas the diesel, with four-wheel drive and in two trims- Longitude and Trailhawk trims.
The Trailhawk will be the most competent, off-road version of the Compass with unique characteristics like suspension lift, different alloy wheels, more capable tyres and additional under body plates for stability.

The compass will be made available in India in 2017, and will be locally made at Ranjangaon, Pune.
