Some scientists have claimed that hexagonal cloud formations due to extreme weather conditions could be the reason.”These hexagonal clouds create ‘air bombs’ with wind speeds of around 170 mph which has the potential of drowning large ships and bringing down planes,” some reports said.

“They are formed by what are called microbursts and they’re blasts of air that come down out of the bottom of a cloud and then hit the ocean and then create waves that can sometimes be massive in size as they start to interact with each other,” Daily Mail quoted.

Many people have list their lives in this region, and there have been numerous theorises about the same. But none has been proved beyond doubt yet.
