Twitterati pays homage to Jayalalithaa

The late Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa Jayaram, 68, who passed away after being in the hospital for 75 days was a popular movie star before switching careers and venturing into politics.

The nation grieved and tributes poured in for J Jayalalithaa from the Tamil film industry, who passed away here on Monday, after a 75-day battle for life at the Apollo Hospital. Twitter was over-poured with tributes and wishes for the  popular leader of people, famously called as ‘Amma’.

Superstar Rajinikanth described Jayalalithaa as a brave daughter.

“Not just Tamil Nadu but the whole of India lost a brave daughter. May her soul rest in peace,” Rajinikanth tweeted.

 Actress Trisha Krishnan also took to Twitter to pay homage to the late leader and shared pictures of her meetings with Jayalalithaa.

 

 

PM Modi expressed his deep sense of grief saying;

Rahul Gandhi too tweeted his last tribute to Amma.

Followed by are the eminent Bollywood actors who paid their tribute to Jayalalithaa.
