In a horrific incident, five people were killed and at least 12 were injured on Friday in a shooting incident at the Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport in Florida.
According to initial reports a gunman has been custody after a deadly shooting.
As quoted in a report an airport spokesman said that the center of the incident was in the baggage claim area of Terminal 2. It does not appear that the shooter breached the TSA-secured area of the airport.

Former White House Press Secretary under George W. Bush Ari Fleischer was tweeting from the airport while the shooting occurred, writing, “Shots have been fired. Everyone is running.”

The police said there is one shooter and five victims.

Fort Lauderdale is a major tourist hub and beach resort in the greater Miami area, and a main starting point for travel and cruises to the Caribbean.
