David Guetta concert in Mumbai called off after authorities deny permission

Date:

In another blow for the fans of David Guetta, the organisers called off the concert of the International DJ this time in Mumbai on Friday as authorities denied permission due to lack of proper documents.

Earlier in the day, the organisers had claimed that the concert would take place as scheduled despite reports of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) denying the permission.

“The Mumbai concert has not been cancelled. It is happening as per the schedule. We have just changed the venue for the event and now we have all necessary permission to do the concert at Jio garden,” the event’s spokesperson had said.

David Guetta was to have performed tonight at the Bandra Kurla Complex, a commercial complex in South Mumbai. Hundreds of people were expected to attend the show.

Earlier on Thursday 49-year-old DJ’s concert in Bengaluru was cancelled on Thursday over concerns of law and order. The organisers cited “law and order situation” following the molestation incident during New Year’s Eve as the reason.
