In a first interaction with the media, UP CM Yogi Adityanath said that he would follow Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘sabka saath, sabka vikas’  slogan in the state.

He said his government will work for balanced development of all sections “without discrimination”, and listed law and order, security of women among his top priorities.

He stressed that work would be done to make development agriculture-based as it is main source of income for people.

Women’s empowerment, their security and honour will also be on top of the BJP government agenda, the chief minister added.

The key highlights from his first news briefings are

“Our government will work for all sections of the society without any discrimination. We will ensure balanced development of UP.”

“I want to assure people that BJP got votes for development and security and we will show positive results soon.”

  • Finds fault with past governments for the sorry state of affairs

“In the past 15 years, UP lagged in the race for development as previous governments indulged in corruption, nepotism and failed on the law and order front due to which people were affected.”

  • Law and order

“The administration will be made sensible and answerable and emphasis will be on law and order.”

  • Focus on welfare of people and jobs for youth

”Effective measures will be taken by our government for welfare of common man.”

“We will focus on skill development of youth so that they can get job opportunities. Government appointments will be made corruption free and transparent. Investment will be promoted for industrial and economic development.”
