RJD workers protest against BJP in Patna

Date:

Rashtriya Janata Dal workers on Wednesday have protested outside the Bharatiya Janata Party office in Patna, a day after the Income Tax department searches in Delhi-NCR in connection with the benami lands deal involving RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav. RJD workers protesting against senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi have also clashed with BJP workers, according to reports by news agency ANI.

Responding to the protests and the subsequent clashes, Sushil Modi has said that this kind of behaviour is unacceptable.

The protests have emerged in response to the I-T probing Rs 1000 crore investments into shell companies and benami land deals, which have links to Lalu Prasad and his family members.
