6th Generation Volkswagen Polo debuts globally

The 6th Generation Volkswagen Polo has been revealed globally and it looks refreshing from its predecessor. Polo is the most successful car from the German carmaker VW with more than 14 Million units sold worldwide.

The new Polo is larger in all dimensions in comparison to its predecessor. The boot space has been increased from 280 to 350 litres. The dimensions are positive to the effects of Volkswagen’s modular transverse matrix (MQB) platform.

Volkswagen Board Member said “The new Polo brings the future to the compact class. A whole lot of space – based on the modular transverse matrix – sustainable engines like a new natural gas TGI, the world premiere of a new generation of the Active Info Display, the latest infotainment systems and forward-thinking assistance systems – these qualities enable this Volkswagen to overcome traditional class boundaries.”

The car sports a major change in the interiors with new cutting edge Infotainments System with 6.5 inch screen and Virtual Audi like cockpit. The options for new Polo includes a new ‘Air Care Climatronic’ with all the quality sensors and allergon filters,  light-intense full-LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED tail lights, Wireless Charging and Panoramic Sunroof.

The Polo will range from 1.2 litre to 2.0 litre nine Euro 6 engines, is expected to launch in the world market starting from Rs 10 Lakh. New Volkswagen Polo is not expected to hit Indian market very soon as the the existing manufacturing units of VW in India have to upgrade to produce MQB platform.
