Cow vigilantes attack men transporting buffaloes in Delhi

In the latest incident of cow vigilantism, six men transporting buffaloes were attacked by a mob in southwest Delhi, according to reports. The men were transporting buffaloes when they were intercepted by the vigilante mob near Baba Haridas Nagar. The mob released the buffaloes and thrashed all six men.

The mob fled when the police arrived on the scene and the six men were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Five of the six were released later while a sixth remains in hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries.

The buffalo transporters stated that they had valid documents for transporting the animals. An FIR has been filed against the attackers.

Cow vigilantism continues to occur with disturbing regularity even as PM Narendra Modi has condemned killings by cow vigilantes across the nation.
