Alka Kaushal, who played the role of mother of Kareena Kapoor in Bajrangi Bhaijaan and also the mother of Kangana Ranaut in Queen has been sentenced to jail for two years along with her mother on the charges of money laundering and theft, according to the reports.
Alka Kaushal was a part of recent shows like Swaragini and Qubool Hai on TV. Alka and her mother were accused of theft and money laundering after two 25 Lakh cheques bounced at banks and she didn’t return 50 Lakh to an acquaintance. She has been sentenced 2 years in prison by Punjab district court.
The advocate in the district court said, “Alka Kaushal and her mother Vishwa Mohan Badola took 50 Lakh from an acquaintance named Avtar Singh after promising to do a serial. The mother and daughter were later asked to return the 50 Lakh rupees where Avtar Singh got two 25 Lakh cheques which bounced in banks. Avtar Singh then decided to file a case against Alka Kaushal and her mother”, according to the reports.
This is not the first time, Alka Kaushal has face charges in court, previously in 2015, Alka Kaushal was sentenced to prison by Malerkortla court.
