The Vadodara Court has issued a summon to actor Shahrukh Khan under section 204 of CrPC. The actor has been asked to remain present in the court on the given date of July 27, according to the reports.

The case is related to the Shahrukh Khan’s train trip in August Kranti Express during the promotions of his film Raees when a stampede took place by his fans at Vadodara station in Gujarat to take a glimpse of their favourite actor. One person died in the incident.

The complaint was filed last month by a citizen called Jitendra Solanki. Solanki decided to move to the court when the police allegedly refused to file an FIR against Shahrukh Khan.

Solanki’s lawyer argued that the ‘negligence’ showed by the actor resulted in a chaos which claimed the life of a local politician named Farheed Khan Pathan who died of a heart attack after the stampede at Vadodara railway station.
