‘Unprecedented’ floods devastate Northeast India, claiming 80 lives

The devastating floods that have struck 58 districts across Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur have so far claimed the lives of 80 people in the Northeastern region of India. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNer) chaired a meeting to review the flooding in the Northeast.
