Britain will now look for tougher punishment for Acid Attacks after the rising cases of such gruesome crime in the country, interior minister Amber Rudd said on Sunday.

On Thursday alone, 5 acid attacks were reported in East London, which left victims with burned face and it’s a worrying situation, Amber said.

“We can and will improve our response,” “It will include a wide-ranging review of the law enforcement and criminal justice response, of existing legislation, of access to harmful products and of the support offered to victims,” she added.

Rudd wants the guilty of Acid Attacks to “feel the full force of the law”.

The government will also look to work closely with the retailers to prohibit them from selling such corrosive and lethal products that can be used as such weapons.
