Murali Vijay, Indian opener in Test matches suffered from a wrist injury after Australia tour and hence didn’t take part in the IPL. Later, before the tour, Murali Vijay looked uncomfortable during the practice and complained about existing pain in his wrist. He was therefore advised to increase his rehabilitation period.
The left-handed opener batsman of limited overs, Shikhar Dhawan looks like a valid option for his replacement and he looks in a great form with his previous performances. He emerged as the top scorer in recently concluded Champions Trophy and he also performed well in the tour of West Indies.
The Indian team will tour West Indies under the coachmanship of newly elected coach Ravi Shastri.
