Trump suggests pulling NBC’s network’s broadcasting license

Washington [U.S.A], October 12: President Donald Trump on Wednesday suggested pulling NBC’s network’s broadcasting license after its explosive news report, stating that Trump had sought a massive increase of ‘tenfold’ in the nation’s nuclear arsenal.

In a tweet, Trump mentioned, “With all of the Fake News coming out of NBC and the Networks, at what point is it appropriate to challenge their License? Bad for a country!”

Trump’s threat against NBC alarmed some media figures and policy makers, who on one hand viewed it as an attempt to infringe on free-speech rights and on the other end said stripping a broadcast license is not feasible, reported the Hill.

However, Trump dismissed NBC’s report and expressed that it is “pure fiction” and is made up to “demean” him.

Trump, in a tweet, stated that NBC’s news report is “pure fiction” and is made up to “demean” him.

Trump tweeted, ” Fake @NBCNews made up a story that I wanted a “tenfold” increase in our U.S. nuclear arsenal. Pure fiction, made up to demean. NBC = CNN!.”
