The Indo-Israel relationship experienced disinclination when India voted against United States’ resolution to make Jerusalem the capital of Israel. However, now it seems both countries got over their displeasure and signed nine MoUs on Monday including on Homeopathy and Cybersecurity. The trade agreements signed between both countries were beyond diamond and defence.
After delegation level talks led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Benjamin Netanyahu, both leaders signed the agreements in New Delhi. Fascinatingly, on Sunday, Benjamin Netanyahu called Indo-Israel relationship a “marriage made in heaven”, and guaranteed that one UN vote will not have an effect on the ties between the two countries, which last year celebrated 25 years of diplomatic relations.

Here is the list of MoUs/Agreements signed between India and Israel:
- MoU on Cybersecurity Cooperation between India and Israel
- MoU between the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and the Ministry of Energy on Cooperation in Oil and Gas Sector
- Protocol between India and Israel on Amendments to the Air Transport Agreement
- Agreement on Film-co-production between India and Israel
- MoU between the Central Council for Research in Homeopathy, Ministry of AYUSH and the Centre for Integrative Complementary Medicine, Shaare Zedek Medical Center on Cooperation in the field of Research in Homeopathic Medicine
- MoU between Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) and the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology for cooperation in the field of space
- Memorandum of Intent between Invest India and Invest in Israel
- Letter of Intent between IOCL and Phinergy Ltd. For cooperation in the area of metal-air batteries
- Letter of Intent between IOCL and Yeda Research and Development Co Ltd for cooperation in the area of concentrated solar thermal technologies.
Reportedly, Israel will be investing a whopping amount of $68.6 million to enhance cooperation with India in key areas such as tourism, technology, agriculture and innovation. The investment would extend to a period of four years. In addition, Israel had given the commitment to fund about $40 million to the India-Israel Industrial R&D and Technological Innovation Fund for five years.
