Huawei today launched another smartphone, Honor 9 Lite at an event in New Delhi. The second quad-camera smartphone from Huawei brand Honor will go on sale on January 21 exclusively via Flipkart.
The major USP of Huawei Honor 9 Lite, apart from having dual camera setups on both front and back, is that it performs on the company’s latest EMUI 8.0, based on Android 8.0 Oreo. The Honor 9 Lite has been introduced in India in two storage variants and it appears India to be the second market to get the latest smartphone from Huawei since it was first launched in China in December.
Honor 9 Lite price in India, launch offers
The Honor 9 Lite comes with a price tag of Rs. 10,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant while the 4GB RAM/ 64GB variant is priced at Rs. 14,999. E-commerce website Flipkart will be organizing a flash sale exclusively for Huawei in partnership with the Honor India Store.
The first flash sale will be held on 12 am IST (midnight) on January 21, followed by the second at 12 pm (noon) IST the same day. Later, the next two sales will be organized at noon on January 22 and January 23. It’s worth pointing out that during the China launch, there was a 4GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant of Honor 9 Lite was unveiled – however, India will not get the variant. Both variants launched in India will be available in Sapphire Blue, Midnight Black, and Glacial Grey colour variants. In terms of launch offers, Honor is offering 10 percent instant discount for Citibank credit and debit card users.
Honor 9 Lite specifications
The Honor 9 Lite runs on company’s latest EMUI 8.0, based on Android 8.0 Oreo. The new smartphone has dual-SIM and sports a 5.65-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) IPS display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The Honor 9 Lite is powered by the octa-core Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC and comes in 3GB or 4GB of RAM variants.
