‘It is time. #deletefacebook,’ says WhatsApp co-founder

Date:

Brian Acton, the co-founder of the giant messaging platform WhatsApp which was sold to Facebook in 2014 for $19 billion, has joined the #DeleteFacebook campaign, following Facebook’s data controversy.

The row involves British data firm Cambridge Analytica, which is accused of exploiting 50 million Facebook users’ personal data to influence the US elections.
