India is engulfed by various religious and historical sites of prime popularity and is home to many cultures, traditions, and values. It’s been a while now that people are aggressively talking about the Buddhist Circuit and its new travel package.
The new travel programme by IRCTC is set to provide top quality, hassle-free packages and itineraries for both Indian and international travellers. The tour comprises major Buddhist cities which are Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and a bit of Nepal. Bihar would include Bodh Gaya, Nalanda, and Rajgir, Uttar Pradesh would include Varanasi and Sarvasti, and Nepal would include Lumbini and Kushinagar.
The travel package includes accommodation, meals, travel, Visa access for Lumbini, and travel insurance. The itinerary is as follows:
Day 1 will start with Bodh Gaya, Day 2 with Nalanda, and Day 3 with Rajgir. Day 4 would cover Sarnath and Varanasi, followed by Lumbini and Kushinagar on Day 5 and 6, and the last two days 7 & 8 would cover Sarvasti and Agra. In total, it is an 8-day excursion.
The mode of transport is essentially Two-tier and First Class AC train, however, some parts of the tour would entail road transport as well, which is also clearly mentioned on the IRCTC website.
The total fare of the tour is INR 75,075 per guest for the entire tour and INR 10,725 per guest per day. So, the passengers have an option to take a night or the complete tour basis budget and requirement.
The travel dates are expected to be around September 2018 to March 2020, so you can choose your dates in advance and block your tour.
