Healthtech start-up Doxper raises $1.1 mn in pre-series round

Date:

Digital healthcare company, Doxper, has raised $1.1 million in pre-series A round from existing investors led by Vidal Healthcare. Doxper, founded by 3 IIT alumni, allows doctors to instantly digitize their case sheets using a smart digital pen and encoded paper without the need to change their behavior at all.

The funds will be used to expand the sales footprint and R&D investment.  Doxper is is also holding pilot projects in Bangladesh and Nigeria and plans to start operations in UK, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Brazil and South Africa by early next year.

The adoption of electronic medical record systems (EMRs) is mandatory but has been unpopular in India because doctors are not comfortable typing. Doxper addresses this issue. Doxper’s proprietary algorithms convert handwriting into text to open up new patient engagement across the healthcare ecosystem.

Doxper is present across 5 cities in India and is growing exponentially. The funds raised by InformDS Technologies Pvt. Ltd., the  holding company, now total  $1.9 million including the current round.
