Karan advises Sonakshi against seeing original ‘Ittefaq’

Mumbai, Sep 21 (PTI) Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who willbe seen in the remake version of yesteryear murder mystery"Ittefaq", says she has not seen the original film, asproducer Karan Johar has advised her against it. The 29-year-old actress will start shooting in Januarynext year and is said to be paired with Sidharth Malhotra inthe remake of the 1969 movie that had late Rajesh Khanna andveteran actress Nanda in the lead. "Comparisons will be made between the original andremake version. People from our generation haven’t seen theoriginal film so for them it would be new film. There areseveral changes being made in terms of script, keeping in mindtoday’s generation," Sonakshi told PTI. "I haven’t seen the original…so for me its a newexperience. Karan Johar has told me not to see it," she said. The remake is being produced by Red Chillies, DharmaProductions and BR films. However, details of who else will becast with Sonakshi as the male lead is still unclear. When prodded about Sidharth, the actress said, "it(pairing) is a mystery for everyone. I will keep it underwraps. It could be a pairing or it couldn’t be. It’s too earlyto share anything." However, Sidharth had earlier said that he is notromantically paired opposite Sonakshi in the film. PTI KKP DKJCHBAS
