Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister while campaigning for the Punjab polls, said, “When you are voting, you vote think that you are making Arvinf Kejriwal as the chief minister. Your vote is for Kejriwal.”
Though Arvind Kejriwal has announced that AAP would not announce the chief ministerial candidate for Punjab. Such open comments by the Sisodia, may have unfolded the parts of their election strategy.
The opposition has played it as Arvind Kejriwal’s efforts to earn the Chief Ministerial position in Punjab. It is speculated that Kejriwal may believe that becoming a full state CM will establish him as a national leader. This may eventually open the doors for making AAP a national party, as their are elections in other states, simultaneously.
Punjab is close to Delhi, and hence AAP’s influence is visible to certain extent.
Since the election dates are getting closer, all parties are throwing in their best to allure the voters.
