2-year posting for IAS IPS IFS officers mandatory

New Delhi: The Government of India (GoI) has made mandatory at least two years postings of officers belonging to Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Forest Service (IFS) in their respective cadres and at centre at one place.

As a result, the officers will be able to render their services minimum two years at one place and will not face transfers in shortest period.
