Khiladi donates film’s wardrobe to NGO

Date:

Mumbai: Busy with the promotion of their upcoming film – Entertainment – actors Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia found some time to donate all the clothes from the film to Youth Organisation in Defence of Animals (YODA).

The NGO works for the welfare of street animals. “You see so many stray dogs everywhere and this organisation is for them, where they (the dogs) will be taken care of. People even throw out dogs after keeping them as pets for some time. YODA is a place where they will be given shelter,” the 46-year-old said at the charity event.

“It’s a small initiative where we have put out all clothes from our film. I have also bought one item,” he added.

However Khiladi Kumar found a new ‘buddy’ on the sets of the film. The dog playing ‘Entertainment’ in the movie made Akshay change his habit and stay back on the sets to play with him. Akshay and ‘Entertainment’ bonded while shooting for the film.

Meanwhile, impressed with the auction Akshay’s co-star Tamannaah has decided to auction off all her clothes from her future films. “People always ask me what happens to the clothes you wear in a film. Nobody knows what happens with them. But I feel like YODA is a great initiative and the money collected can be spent on animals who really need that money and care. So I am going to do this in every film of mine, even my southern films,” Tamannaah said.

Both the stars made a quick stop in Hyderabad on Monday to promote the upcoming film. They were in the city for a little over half-an-hour. While Tamannaah looked gorgeous in a blue crop top and palazzo pants, Akki turned up in a tracksuit.

Entertainment is slated for release on Aug 8 also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Prakash Raj, Sonu Sood and Krushna Abhishek.
