PM Narendra Modi meets leaders of the Pacific Islands

Fiji: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday met the leaders and representatives of 12 Pacific Island nations in Fiji. During his meeting he said that the gathering is a first of its kind, but he assured that it won’t be the last. Earlier, on his arrival at the Nausori International Airport, Modi was received by Fijian Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama and given a ceremonial welcome, amidst the playing of the national anthem. Prime Minister Modi held bilateral talks with his Fijian counterpart and followed by which several agreements were signed between the two countries.
