Photo-editing key behind women’s social media pictures

Date:

Wellington: A new survey has revealed that 57% of women have admitted that they regularly edit their own social media pictures to enhance their appearance.

According to the survey conducted by website beautyheaven.com.au, women used apps like Photo wonder and Perfect365, filters and Photoshop to slim down their thighs, flatten their stomachs and perfect their skin.

Most of the women surveyed take at least three photos to get the perfect shot, while more than 10% take more than 10 photos before they are satisfied.

The survey showed that 62% sought to approve photos their friends had taken before they were posted online and would untag themselves if they felt they looked unattractive.

Carli Alman, editor of the website, asserted that it is normal to want to look good in pictures but it is important that they are having fun with their social media images and not taking it too far.
