AAP ki sarkar to focus on youth

Date:

New Delhi: After the historic win in the Assembly polls, the stage is set for the broom-wielding anti-corruption party, AAP, to take oath as the new government in the National Capital.

With the final list of cabinet ministers sent to the President, word is out that former journalist-turned-activist Manish Sisodia is touted to become the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi.

In a candid interview with NewsMobile, Manish Sisodia shared his plans for the development of Delhi and women’s safety and how the youth is going to be an integral part of their development agenda.

“Youth are our main supporters and target audience. We have plans for them, and would like to integrate them while executing those plans,” Sisodia said, while meeting well-wishers who were eagerly waiting to meet their new leader.

Emphasising on the need of women safety, Sisodia said that extensive plans were going to be set into motion to make the lives of citizens simpler.

While women safety is one of the key focus areas of the Arvind Kejriwal led AAP government, Sisodia clarified that overall development is equally important.

“There will be CCTVs installed as soon as possible which will help bring ease to the masses.

“The roadmap for development is being planned as we speak. It will be rolled out soon,” he said.

Arvind Kejriwal will take the oath to become the chief minister of Delhi on Feb. 14 after AAP won the 67 of 70 seats up for the Assembly polls.

Sisodia, who will become a cabinet member for the second time, said that the swearing-in ceremony will be quite simple and without much fanfare, keeping in mind the pro-common man image the party portrays.
