Washington: Celebrating with hundreds of Indians in the sprawling India house in Washington DC, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley wished happy Baisakhi to those gathered at the residence of the Indian Ambassador to the US.
The Baisakhi function was hosted by Ambassador Taranjit Sandhu the popular acting Ambassador of India to the US who has made a mark with good community outreach in the US.
With a morning of dance, music and food it was the flavour of India in DC with a gathering comprising leading Indian Americans, US dignitaries.
Also present was India’s Environment Minister Prakash Jawadekar.
