Concerned about Iran militancy says US official in India

Date:

New Delhi: Under secretary of state for political affairs, Wendy Ruth Sherman, said the United States was concerned about the state-sponsored militancy in Iran. The US Senate rejected an effort to require any nuclear agreement with Iran to be considered an international treaty, which would have forced any deal to be ratified by two-thirds of the Senate’s 100 members. She also expressed her concern about the US-flagged ship intercepted by Iranian patrol on Tuesday. Sherman also praised India’s efforts in quake-ravaged Nepal. Nepal has been devastated by a 7.9 magnitude earthquake killing over 5,006 people and injuring 10,000 others.
