Have you been dubbing your dad’s anger, your teacher’s scolding, and your favorite movie dialogues all your life?
The exciting and largely going viral app, Dubsmash, allows you to dub the voice of your favorite celebrity or some famous sound you have always been fond of, in the form of a short selfie video.
The app was created by a small team of German developers – Jonas Druppel, Roland Grenke and Daniel Taschik – and launched in November last year. It has since been downloaded by more than ten million people.
It lets users add soundtracks to videos recorded on their phones – often matching a clip of themselves performing a song or film scene with audio from the original.
Users can then upload sounds or select from a list of audio clips uploaded by others. These include excerpts or clips from your favorite movie, sitcom, popular chart hits, musicals or even operas.
The clip once created can be shared via Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram or a text message.
Dubsmash in India is spreading like viral fever. All social media platforms are flooded with it. The app has become the reason for new excitement and zeal amongst the youth and also the film fraternity in India is going ga-ga over it.
Alia bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Ranveer singh, Shruti Hassan and even our Prime Minister Narendra Modi have also taken fancy to this.
The Dubsmash fever is spreading fast. Beware of it.
