After several political big names showing their support for the ‘Selfie with daughter’ campaign, look who joined this bandwagon.

It all started when recently during a monthly programme, Mann Ki Baat, Modi mentioned the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (Save daughters, educate daughters)” scheme launched by the government.

Through a radio programme, the premier revealed that a sarpanch of Bibipur village in Haryana, Sunil Jaglan, had started a “selfie with daughter” competition wherein fathers were to post their “selfies” with their daughters.

Later, Modi asked all fathers to send their “selfies” with their daughters to him, out of which he would re-tweet the good ones.

“The initiative of the sarpanch gives me an inspiration, and that is why I urge you to click pictures with your daughters and post those on #selfiewithdaughter with a tagline,” the PM requested.

PM Modi’s ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Yojana’ has taken the online world by storm as several people posted many such photos, showing their support towards Modi’s initiative.
