While the rest of the world is going “Eid Mubarakâ€, it wasn’t exactly a mubarak moment for a boy, who was asked to behead a soldier.
IS has released a video showing a young boy beheading a Syrian soldier, spreading its gruesome message around.
The boy was filmed murdering the prisoner, supervised by an older militant near the captured ancient city of Palmyra.
It was believed to be the first beheading by a child filmed by IS, which has previously used minors to execute captives by shooting them.
The soldier, who identified himself as a captain in Bashar al-Assad’s army, was forced by the boy to lie on his front so that he could pull his head back and cut it off with a small knife.
The video then shows the boy holding up the decapitated head and putting it on the victim’s dead body.
