Deepika Anil Kapoor are the new ‘Accidental Apprentices’!

After the success of Badlapur’, director Sriram Raghavan is all ready to take on his next directorial venture, which is said to be an adaptation of the book The Accidental Apprentice’ by Vikas Swarup.

The cast of director Sriram Raghavan’s adaptation of The Accidental Apprentice keeps getting more and more interesting.

Earlier, it was stated that Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor will be seen in the lead roles, and according to the latest buzz, Anil Kapoor will also be seen in the film in a pivotal role.

But the most interesting thing is if all goes well this will be the second time Anil Kapoor will be working on the adaptation of Vikas Swarup.

Earlier, the actor was a part of Slumdog Millionaire, which was an adaptation of Swarup’s best-selling novel Q&A.

Who is Vikas Swarup?

Vikas Swarup is an Indian writer and diplomat who is best known as the author of the novel Q & A, adapted in film as Slumdog Millionaire, the winner of Best Film for the year 2009 at the Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards and BAFTA Awards.

Sriram met Kapoor recently to discuss about the project and the latter was very keen to be a part of it.

About the film

The story, based in Delhi, revolves around a girl with a low-ranking job whose life changes after a chance encounter with a billionaire. Sriram has decided that Deepika will play the protagonist role and they’ve spoken about the film.

If rumours to be believed, Deepika wanted to work with Sriram for a long time and finally she got an opportunity.
