Everyone has their quirks including world leaders. The leader of the United States of America, Barack Obama turns 54 on Tuesday. 

He is the 44th president of the US but there is lot more to know about the commander-in-chief.

In high school, he was known as O’Bomber for his skill at basketball.

 

 

He doesn’t like ice-cream as a result of working at Baskin-Robbins as a teenager.

 

 

He has admitted to having experimented with marijuana and cocaine as a teenager.

He applied to appear in a black pin-up calendar while at Harvard but was rejected by the all-female committee.

He says his worst habit is checking his Blackberry. He’s been forced to hand it over plenty of times for security reasons.

He is a comic fanboy and has the full collection of the Spiderman series. When the Marvel comics came to know of this fetish of the President they put his photo on the cover and since 2007 he has appeared in 22 comics.

He is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and Spanish

He won a Grammy in 2006 for the audio version of his memoir, Dreams From My Father

He can bench press an impressive 200lbs

He carries a tiny Madonna and child statue and a bracelet belonging to a soldier in Iraq for good luck

 

His speciality as a cook is chilli dish
