Heavy rains trigger landslides in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla: Heavy rains lashed several parts of Himachal Pradesh on Friday triggering landslides and blocking roads in the interiors of Mandi, Kullu and Sirmaur districts.

Amb and Una in Una district received 146 mm and 117 mm rains and maximum temperature dropped from 35.5 degrees to 26.4 degrees in Una.

Sarkaghat and Gohar recorded 74 mm and 70 mm of rains followed by Kasauli 68 mm, Berthin 64 mm, Paonta 60 mm, Dehra Gopipur 47 mm, Bangana 42 mm, Naina Devi 41 mm, Berthin 39 mm, Guler and Kheri 22 mm each, Baldwara, Renuka and Kahu 20 mm, Ghamroor 17 mm, Bilaspur 16 mm and Nurpur 15 mm.

Bhunter recorded a maximum temperature of 31.2 degrees, followed by Sundernagar 28.9 degrees, Dharamshala 27.6
degrees, Nahan 26 degrees, Solan 25.5 degrees, Kalpa 24.4 degrees, Manali 24 degrees and Shimla 21.8 degrees Celsius.

The local MeT office has predicted rains and thunderstorm in lower, mid and higher hills in the state over six days.
