NASA is inviting space enthusiasts to send in their names if they wish to visit the Red Planet.
NASA will launch InSight mission to Mars in March, 2016 from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
What is InSight mission?
InSight is the abbreviation for Interior Exploration for Seismic Investigations, Geodesy, and Heat Transport. It is a robotic, stationary lander designed to study Mars geophysics.
All you need to do is send your names and it will be saved on a computer chip aboard the InSight lander.
This is the second time that NASA has given the public a chance to feel included in the mission.
So far, more than 600,000 people have signed up for Insight “boarding passes.”
The deadline to submit your name is September 8.
You may not be able to go to Mars, but NASA has given you a chance to ride along with the lander, or, at least, your name. So, take this opportunity and do it now.
