Anderson, who has represented Bermuda 14 times has has been handed a life-ban, while O’Brien was suspended for six matches. The incident began with Anderson slapping O’Brien on the back of his head, after which the batsman retaliated by wildly swinging his bat, narrowly missing Anderson. Both players continued the tussle and the incident was brought to an unsightly end by the two players wrestling each other to the ground.

Players, ground officials and police forces ran in to calm the situation and Cleveland president Carlton Smith asked Anderson to leave the field.
