One killed, another seriously injured in wild boar attack

A 53-year-old man was killed and another seriously injured in a wild boar attack at a tribal colony near Nelliambam in Wayanad district, police said today.

The deceased, identified as Krishnan of Nadavayal and his brother had gone to the colony to collect green fodder for cattle when the attack took place last evening.

Though the two were rushed to Mananthavady taluk hospital, Krishnan succumbed to his injuries on the way.

His brother has been admitted to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital in a serious condition, police said.
