Faridabad: After strong criticism from the opposition over the Faridabad caste incident, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday assured that there was no problem of law and order in ‘peace loving’ Haryana and said that the perpetrators of the Dalit killings would not be spared.

Khattar, visited the Sunpedh village to meet the family members of the victims, said the state government has ordered a CBI probe in the case.

“Haryana is a peace loving state and there is no problem of law and order. We have already handed over the case to CBI, the culprits won’t be spared,” he added.

Khattar downplayed media posers whether he was confident of the fact that such incidents wouldn’t take place in the near future.

“We will make sure that no such incidents take place between these two families,” he said.

Asserting that the case has been handed over to the CBI, Khattar assured that the culprits would not be spared.

“This is a matter of investigation. We should wait for the enquiry,” he said.

The Chief Minister also assured all assistance to the victims.

“Ten lakh rupees have been given to the family, we will pay the amount required in the medication of the lady admitted in the hospital,” he added.

Khattar had earlier postponed his visit to the village due to the protests by the Dalit families.

Two children were charred to death and their parents injured after their house was set afire allegedly by some members of Rajput community at Sunpedh village in Ballabhgarh. The mother of the victims is battling for her life at a hospital.
