Maruti Suzuki to roll out hatchback Baleno on Oct 26

Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch their latest entrant in the hatchback segment with Baleno on October 26. According to reports, The new car has already started lining up at all the Nexa showrooms across the country.

Baleno will be the second model in three months to be offered through NEXA. Equipped with several high end features and technologies, Maruti Suzuki Baleno is all set to redefine the premium compact segment.

The upcoming Baleno comes with a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.3-litre diesel engine. The 1.2-litre VVT petrol will churn out a maximum power output of 83bhp and maximum torque of 116 Nm, mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a CVT gearbox, while the 1.3 DDiS diesel engine will produce peak power of 74bhp and peak torque of 188Nm, mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

The petrol variant of the new Baleno gives a fuel efficiency of 21.4km/litre, while the diesel variant will give a fuel efficiency of 27.39km/litre.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be available in 7 different color options – Ray Blue, Fire Red, Autumn Orange, Premium Urban Blue, Pearl Arctic White, Metallic Premium Silver and Granite Gray.

Coming with a price tag between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Baleno will compete with the likes of Honda Jazz, Hyundai Elite i20 and Volkswagen Polo in the Indian market.
