Vijayvargiya’s ‘dog’ insult example of BJP’s intolerance: NCP

Date:

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Monday criticised Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Kailash Vijayvargiya for comparing Shatrughan Sinha to a dog, and claimed that this was another example of its ‘intolerance’ and ‘arrogance’.

NCP leader Majeed Memon told ANI:

“If this (remarks by BJP leaders) is going on unabated, then I think this is just one step Bihar, BJP will be wiped off all throughout the country unless they stop this. This is nothing but yet another instance of intolerance and arrogance.”

“Kailash ji’s statement was very uncalled for and very unfortunate. On one hand, we see that Arun Jaitley attributes the defeat in Bihar to bad mouth and now this bad mouthing is continuing,” he added.

Earlier on Monday, Vijayvargiya had remarked:

“When a car moves, a dog moves under it too, the dog believes that the car is moving because of me. This party is not dependable on one person, it’s a whole organization and there’s a big hierarchy here. Those who are out of it were on a ‘Maun Vrat’ and now they are speaking.”

According to sources, Sinha is on his way out of the party, and action may be taken against him shortly after the Diwali festivities.
