Just when you thought the heated debate had subsided about whether Jon Snow is dead or alive on ‘Game of Thrones,’ HBO has reignited the discussion.
The hit show released the poster for season six on Monday, teasing Kit Harrington’s character’s return.

Simply captioned ‘April’ in a clear reference to the season six air date fans have been waiting for, the picture is dark, moody, and incredibly exciting.
When we last saw Snow, he was being lured into a trap by disillusioned members of his brigade and stabbed to death in a display of brutal mutiny. Of course, there’s been a ton of speculation about his true status since season five’s finale aired last June; death doesn’t have to mean much within a series that’s featured several resurrections.
It remains unknown what this news might mean, with some fans suggesting that Snow will be resurrected by Melisandre, but will lose a piece of his soul in the process. It will almost certainly involve magic of some kind, as he was stabbed numerous times by his fellow Night’s Watch members.
Even though it’s entering advanced age by TV drama standards, Game of Thrones just keeps getting more and more popular.
