New Delhi’s popular Nehru Park will be playing host to a chamber orchestra concert from Kazakhstan on December 6. A similar event will take place at the Siri Fort Auditorium on December 5.
The event, which has been organised jointly by the Kazakhstan National University of Arts and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in New Delhi, will have two popular soloists from Kazakhstan performing before an Indian audience for the first time.
Ten items will be performed by the duo from a collection of composers such as J. Rossini, G.Handel, P. Tchaikovsky, A. Vivaldi, Franz Waxman and C. Bixio.
Aiman Mussakhajayeva, who has the singular honour of being declared the “People’s Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, and is widely known both nationally and internationally in music circles, will be joined by Azamat Zheltyrgusov in this unique performance that will take place next Sunday afternoon.
Titled as the “Kazakh Eli Classic”, the concert will be conducted by Aidar Torybayev.
Mussakhajayeva is one of the brightest representatives of the violin school of Kazakhstan. Her personality can be seen in concert and in educational activities. She generously gives her talent to the people from all walks of life.
The creative growth of this talented violinist took place at the Baysseitova Republic Music School, in the class of Professor N. Patrucheva.
In 1983 she graduated from the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory (Moscow). Wide artistic thinking, full absorption in music, aspiration for perfection have promoted her to become the prize winner of such prestigious international competition as the 1976 Belgrade International Competition (Yugoslavia), Paganini International Competitions (Genoa, Italy), the 1983 Tokyo International Competition (Japan), 1985 Sibelius International Competition (Helsinki, Finland), and the 1986 Eighth Tchaikovsky International Competition (Moscow, Russia).
Mme. Mussakhajayeva has been the soloist of the Jambul Kazakh Philharmonie since 1983. Her masterful technique, deep understanding and grasp of different styles allow her to cope easily with the most difficult violin works and successfully perform at the best concert halls of the world.
She performs compositions of Bach, Mozart, Hayden, Beethoven, Paganini, Tchaikovsky and Sibelius, etc. with effortless ease.
Since 1992, Mme. Mussakhajayeva is the founder head of the State Chamber Orchestra “Academy of Soloists”.
Mme. Mussakhajayeva has performed as soloist and toured with the “Academy of Soloists” throughout Russia, United States, Japan, Germany, Italy, Austria, etc.
She is a member of many organizations, including the International Academy for the Arts, Association of European Conservatoires, and Association of the Tchaikovsky International Competition, Women’s Affairs Committee of Kazakhstan, National Commission for UNESCO and ISESCO.
She is a recipient of many titles and awards, among them are People’s Artist (1986), Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan (1994), Academician of the International Academy of the Arts (1998), the Honorary title UNESCO “Artist for Peace” (1998). In 2000 she was endowed a State Premium from the achieved success in the field of culture and in 2002, Mme. Mussakhajayeva was awarded the prize for great achievements in the sphere of art and music. She also was awarded with a special medal dedicated to the 20th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Credit for establishing the Kazakh National University of Arts goes to the nation’s head of state, President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The main task of this institution is provide northern and central regions of the country with highly qualified professional specialists which are capable to enrich domestic culture with new achievements in the field of arts.
Well-known musicians of the country, researchers and teachers, graduates of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Tashkent, Almaty conservatories have worked at the academy. They are highly qualified and raised winners at international and national competitions.
The academy was based on specific music specialties, with five divisions and 22 departments that provide training in all musical disciplines.
